Terms of Play

1. Free-Play Only — No Real Money

PioneerFjord is a free social-entertainment platform. All credits used within the platform are virtual tokens with no monetary value. They cannot be purchased for real money, traded between users, redeemed for cash, goods, or services, or transferred outside the platform in any form. Winning or accumulating virtual credits within PioneerFjord does not entitle you to any real-world compensation whatsoever.

PioneerFjord expressly does not constitute gaming, as that term is defined under the Criminal Code of Canada (RSC 1985 c C-46) or under any provincial gaming legislation including the Gaming Control Act (Ontario), the Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act (Alberta), the Gaming Control Act (British Columbia), or the Video Lottery Act (Manitoba). No licence under any of those statutes is required for or held by PioneerFjord because no real money is staked or awarded.

2. Age Restriction — 18 and Over

PioneerFjord is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 years or older. By using this platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to use PioneerFjord and must exit immediately. PioneerFjord reserves the right to terminate access if it becomes aware that a user is under 18. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that minors under their supervision do not access this platform.

3. Permitted Use

You may access and use PioneerFjord for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes only. You must not: attempt to access areas of the platform not intended for general users; use automated scripts, bots, or data harvesting tools to interact with the platform; reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from any part of the platform; reproduce or redistribute platform content without our written permission; use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its availability or functionality; attempt to circumvent the age-gate or consent mechanisms.

4. Intellectual Property

All visual artwork, including the circus symbol designs, logo, favicon, layout, and colour system, is either original work owned by PioneerFjord or licensed material used in accordance with applicable licences (Google Fonts: SIL OFL or Apache 2.0; Bootstrap: MIT Licence; custom circus artwork: all rights reserved by PioneerFjord Inc.). You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from PioneerFjord's original content without express written consent.

5. Liability Disclaimer

PioneerFjord is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no representations that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PioneerFjord Inc. disclaims liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damage.

Because PioneerFjord involves no real money, the maximum liability of PioneerFjord Inc. in connection with your use of the platform is limited to zero Canadian dollars, consistent with the fact that you have paid nothing to access it and have nothing of real value at stake.

6. Privacy and Cookies

Your use of PioneerFjord is also governed by our Privacy Pledge and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms of Play by reference. By using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood those documents.

7. Responsible Play

We care about the wellbeing of our visitors. Our Play Fairly page provides resources for anyone who feels that entertainment of this kind is affecting their day-to-day life. 8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Play are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Manitoba. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

9. Changes to These Terms

PioneerFjord reserves the right to amend these Terms of Play at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of PioneerFjord following any amendment constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with any revision, you must discontinue use of the platform.
